When I first started setting up a WordPress site and moving beyond things like Wix the learning curve was massive. Previously I had worked with Wix (just don’t even go there) and a few others like it. I realized that these were time hoarders and if you stayed with them, it was going to be an eventual dead end. So I did whatever newbie does. I hopped on to YouTube, watched a video and tried to follow step-by-step. The would-be You Tube instructor was all about the Flatsome Theme and Yoast SEO and things I had yet to hear of. After purchasing everything and trying to make it happen, the inevitable occurred–I was caught in the quagmire with no one to help. I gutted it out and finished the site. It was pathetic and I was hopelessly confused and lost on the back end. Yes, some WooCommerce themes look nice, but if you’re not a coder, then it is drama, drama, drama. Who needs that?
Next I tried this theme (the theme on this site that is going to be changed soon.). It has a nice pop factor for posts but the support is non-existent and it has weird things on it–categories go in wrong places. And customization? Doesn’t happen.
At that point I actually gave up…on WordPress, themes and the like. But somewhere along the line about a year ago I stumbled upon Elegant Themes. Desperate I gave it another try. Oh my. To say there was a difference is an understatement. For the first time a beacon of light broke through the stormy clouds. Everything was drag and drop idiot proof. When I got stuck I had support. When you buy the theme package you get ALL THEIR THEMES. Not just one. Massive difference.
Since then my websites have been exploding. Elegant Themes gives you so much room to make it classy. It’s also so quick to make adjustments like most other themes. Here’s a picture of the back end from a site I have up:
Adding columns or rows? No problem!
Or how about a zillion different drag and drop modules?
If you’re advanced and actually know html, css and the like, it’s got a special page for people like you.
If you are trying to set up a website and want a once and for all theme, then I HIGHLY recommend this one. Yes, it is a little more pricey than your cheap $40 themes, but you get all the themes that offer, customer support and so much more. You really can’t go wrong.
Elegant Themes is the name of the package, and the Divi Builder is the name of the engine behind the package for the Divi Theme (The BEST theme you will pretty much find ANYWHERE!). You will get all the themes (I think 89 themes) with one purchase.
